Ingredient

Cetearyl Alcohol

A fatty alcohol used to thicken a formula and give it body. Despite the name it does not behave like a drying alcohol.

What it does

  • Emollient

Softens and smooths by filling gaps between skin cells.

  • Emulsifier

Holds oil and water together so they do not separate.

  • Viscosity control

Sets how thick or thin the product is.
